CLEAR YOUR PAST, CHANGE YOUR FUTURE

Proven Techniques for Inner Exploration and Healing

This is the book for the new millennium. It will help you embark on a life-altering journey of discovery. This step-by-step guide shows you how to heal old psychological wounds and permanently change your mental programming - the core patterns of beliefs and behavior that limit who you are and who you can become. Learn how to reinvent yourself and attain whatever you choose.

Clear Your Past is the ultimate self-help book - a unique collection of over 60 of the most powerful techniques developed by therapists and spiritual teachers that you can use on your own, or with a friend or therapist, for inner transformation and healing. In editions in Russia, India (English), Spain, and Taiwan/China.

WHAT LYNNE SAYS ABOUT CLEAR YOUR PAST:

I spent more than a decade studying psychological and spiritual theories and techniques to find the most effective ones to heal myself, and later my therapy clients. This book covers the ones that worked best for me and for clients in my clinical practice.

Clear Your Past includes what I believe is the most transformational technique, one that helps you recover and reexperience your original blissful loving state.

Because many people today cannot afford therapy, I decided to make these techniques available to everyone. You can use these techniques by yourself or with a friend or therapist.

The Inner Exploration Process is the main technique I used, with therapists and by myself, during my own journey of recovery - and I continue to use it. I also used the other techniques in the book at various stages in my healing. Obviously there are many other helpful techniques. Trust your instincts and use what works for you. You will find what you need. Remember that you are designed to heal and be happy.

WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT CLEAR YOUR PAST

"Lynne's healing words are as wise as they are practical. This book should be read by anyone who wants to have a happier life." Larry King, CNN Talk Show host.

"Clear Your Past, Change Your Future is a caring and compassionate guide to coming to terms with old wounds and moving past them into a fuller, life-affirming future. Lynne Finney presents a powerful new model for self-healing based on the latest neurobiological and psychological research, as well as ancient spiritual wisdom. This easy-to-read book is a must, not only for therapists who want to keep up on the latest techniques, but for anyone who wants to get on with a better life." Joan Borysenko, Ph.D., author of A Woman's Book of Life: The Biology, Psychology and Spirituality of the Feminine Life Cycle and Minding the Body, Mending the Mind

"This is one of the soundest guides to personal transformation and empowerment to appear in years. Lynne Finney is a wise guide whose gentle healing power shines through on every page." Larry Dossey, M.D., author of Prayer is Good Medicine, Healing Words, and Recovering the Soul

"A sound, sane, sensible, well-written, and compassionate volume. I recommend it highly." James Fadiman, Ph.D., author of Unlimit Your Life, Shadow Dancer, and Personality and Personal Growth

"Lynne Finney's heart has poured forth another fine healing tool. She shares the path of healing that is the legacy to anyone seeking the 'gift in the wound.' It is a great deal more than just the pearl in the oyster, it is the ocean out of which both were composed. It is the heart of being, awakening from the dreams and nightmares of the past into the profound illuminations of the present." Stephen and Ondrea Levine, authors of Embracing the Beloved.

"The title says it all. Can there be anything more important than learning how to release the past so that freedom and the present and future can become one?" Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D., author of Love is Letting Go of Fear.

WHAT READERS SAY:

"This book is excellent! I have read Clear Your Past and find it extremely helpful in finding solutions to problems stemming from childhood. Lynne Finney outlines an impressive variety of techniques developed by well-know research institutions. As a result, the reader can select from scores of methods, or try each in turn. The book is so terrific that I find myself rereading it to discover new nuggets of information that I can apply to my life." A reader from Montgomery, Alabama (amazon.com)

"Your book jumped off the shelf at me two weeks ago. It helped me to access my deepest pain. Thank you so much for being a tool in God's hands....Your entire work is a testimony of love, healing, and progression....I can't ever thank you enough for helping me trust myself." K.K., Utah

"I can't say enough about this book. I have read a lot of self-help books in search of an answer to my problem. Most tell you how you should be, whereas Ms. Finney's book tells you how to get yourself there with the Inner Exploration Process." A reader in Cleveland, Ohio (amazon.com)

"I purchased last year what I believe to be the "Holy Grail" of self-help books. It's Clear Your Past." R.S., Massachusetts

CLEARING YOUR PAST

2 1/2 HOUR AUDIOTAPE PACKAGE OF LYNNE'S WORKSHOPS NOW AVAILABLE FOR DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

These life-altering tapes give you the benefit of Lynne's nationally acclaimed workshops and cover the most important areas of her work, as she moves through psychological breakthroughs into spiritual wisdom.

Traumatic childhood experiences, such as a divorce or death in the family, physical or emotional abandonment by a parent, abuse, or serious illness, can forever change how you feel about yourself, how you treat others, and how you view the world and your future. A pioneering therapist, Lynne takes you behind the scenes of current brain research and shares a powerful new model for self-healing from old psychological wounds.

Based on breakthroughs in the neurophysiology of memory and trauma, Clearing Your Past teaches a direct way to uncover - and heal - the painful memories from your past. Lynne guides you through a proven program for freeing yourself of the limiting core beliefs that can cause fear, guilt, depression, rage, and self-defeating behaviors.

These tapes tell you how to truly pardon yourself and reconnect with others and how to reclaim your original blissful loving state. They include a guided meditation to help you awaken and exercises to transform fundamental perceptions of reality so you can experience the miracles around you.

LYNNE SAYS ABOUT CLEARING YOUR PAST
My work reflects my own evolution and these tapes go beyond the wounds of the past into a world of spirit - a world of radiance and miracles that I discovered we can all attain through changes of belief and perception. I wouldn't have believed this ten years ago when I was trapped in my own personal hell, but I have found that the kingdom of heaven really is inside us - and all around us - once we overcome our fears.

These tapes include one of my favorite creations, a guided meditation based on quantum physics, metaphysics, psychology, and ancient spiritual wisdom that came to me in a miraculous way. When I began growing into a realization of my spirituality, I started doing more spiritual workshops, but I didn't have a lot of material. A sponsor advised me to pray for another meditation exercise.

A couple of days later, I woke up at 5 a.m., although usually I'm a late sleeper, and started writing frantically on the pad I keep beside my bed. It felt as though someone else was writing with me as I went through page after page. The result was the meditation at the end of tape two that I call "Connecting with the universe."

WHAT LISTENERS SAY ABOUT CLEARING YOUR PAST
"I just finished listening to your tapes, Clearing Your Past. I must tell you they are absolutely awesome. I've read a lot of self-help books & listened to a number of tapes to improve my life, but your tapes put everything together and make total sense. Your methods are helping me already....I am going to let everyone I know who is ready to receive help to listen to your tapes. Actually the entire world should. I thank God your tapes flew into my life." B.C., Ohio

"This is definitely worth a listen. This tape describes a process of inner work that I think has great potential...This is something you can do by yourself at home, easily. She describes a 'meditative' process which is the core of the tape, but she includes a LOT of other techniques, processes, strategies, viewpoints, visualizations, etc. She does not shy away from the spiritual domain, fortunately. I have just added this to my regular meditation time, and so far think it has great value...Anyone wanting to develop (or add to) a regular practice of self-healing or spiritual 'work' should buy this tape." Paul, Silicon Valley, CA

"Please send us information on Lynne Finney's workshops. We greatly enjoyed listening to and learning from Clearing Your Past. It's a service she does sharing such wisdom with us who need to hear." E.B., New York

REACH FOR THE RAINBOW
ADVANCED HEALING FOR SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ABUSE

This book is now available only in the original first edition from Changes Publishing at a special discount of $10.00. (The price of Changes original edition was $12.95 in 1990 and the Putnam edition was $16.95 in 2003.) Copies are limited.

This ground-breaking book became a classic on the subject of sexual abuse and incest - for survivors, their loved ones, and their therapists. Recommended by therapists and survivors, and used in classes at universities, this book went through two editions and 20 printings. It is available in libraries and by direct order through Changes Publishing.

Reach for the Rainbow, winner of a National Association of Social Workers award for research, presents survivor's concerns and self-healing techniques in an easy-to-read, reassuring style. Written in a question-and-answer format, this book discusses sensitive subjects, including dissociation, flashbacks, body memories, orgasms, abuse by multiple perpetrators, ritual abuse, suicidal thoughts, and much more. It also covers questions such as "It isn't fair! Why did it happen to me?" and tells survivors how and where to get help, advises on qualifications to look for in a therapist, and offers proven self-help techniques.

WHAT LYNNE SAYS ABOUT REACH FOR THE RAINBOW:
Reach for the Rainbow grew out of my own experiences of physical and sexual abuse by my father, an award-winning screenwriter and novelist, almost from birth until I was eight years old. My father told me that it was my fault and that I was evil, a child of the devil, and I believed him. Although I was successful in school and later professionally, inside I was terrified and miserable. My mind blocked my early years out of my consciousness and I became an overachiever to try to prove to myself that I was worth something.

When I was in my early forties, memories of the abuse began to emerge. As I went through therapy, I returned to graduate school at the University of Utah to become a psychotherapist, because I wanted to learn the most effective ways to heal myself and then help others.

At the time, there were no useful books about healing from sexual abuse and no support groups to answer my questions or allay my fears. I decided to make something good come out of my experience by writing the book I wished I had when I was going through my own healing and therapy. I wanted other survivors to have answers to questions they might be afraid to ask anyone. Most of all, I wanted them to know they could heal.

Despite fears of what disclosing my own experiences would do to my career, I included them in Reach for the Rainbow, as well as stories of other survivors, some of whom were my therapy clients. From reactions I received from survivors around the world, I believe writing the book was more than worth it.

WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT REACH FOR THE RAINBOW:

CNN talk show host, Larry King : "The most important book written on the subject."

Dan Sexton, M.A., director of Childhelp, U.S.A.: "A powerful and loving approach to healing and recovery."

James Fadiman, Ph. D., psychologist and author of Unlimit Your Life: "Best of its kind."

MORE IMPORTANT, SURVIVORS SAY :

"I am a great believer in synchronicity. Although, in hindsight, I had been preparing for years, my remembering unfolded in January. Two weeks later, when the questions were drowning me and my sanity, I found Reach for the Rainbow. Every question I was asking, you answered. Your constant words of encouragement helped me in the healing process....You reiterate how strong abuse survivors are. To be able to cope with the circumstances as a child and function as an adult is a magnificent power we have. Thank you for this message." A.P., Nebraska

"I have just read your powerful book, Reach for the Rainbow, and have decided to write to say thank you. I've never done this before! I've been in recovery as an incest survivor for several years....It stops in my family! I have been trained as an advocate for children and other survivors. No one should ever have to be alone with the horror of this abuse....I write poetry, some of which I send to you to say thanks - for your spirit which allowed you to survive, for your gift of writing which pushed me further in my healing, and for your ability to turn your pain and healing into a way to reach out to help so many others." L.N., New York

"Reach for the Rainbow has truly been the best book I've ever read on childhood sexual abuse and I'm thrilled to have been guided to read it...Thank you for your powerful, inspiring book. I'm reaching past surviving to 'thriving' and your book provides so many great ideas." B.C., Manitoba, Canada

"I bought your book several years ago. It has been a helpful and healing resource for me and for my clients. I am a family therapist and also a survivor....Thank you for your wonderful book." Therapist, Colorado

"I saw you on CNN television (here in Amsterdam it was the middle of the night) and went to the American Bookshop the next day and ordered your book. Today I could go and get it and with the few things I already read, I was very happy!...Thank you for the work you've done. I hope someday I can do some work myself." M.D., Holland

"I have never written to an author before, but I want to express my deepest appreciation to you for writing Reach for the Rainbow....I was raped on a weekly basis by my natural father. Because I never tried to stop him, I felt I was as much to blame as my father. Your book has taught me differently....Thank you for having the courage to tell the world your life story and for the incredibly helpful information in Reach for the Rainbow." D.T., California

"About two months ago, memories started coming back to me from when I was a child. I didn't understand what was happening to me. I was in a bookstore and was drawn to your book Reach for the Rainbow. I have read it at least three times. It is underlined in multicolors, and the margins are full. It has helped me so much as I have been recovering." N.W., Michigan

"I found a copy of your book at my local library when I was searching for answers to what was happening to me. It helped me to find and start seeing a therapist and to understand me better. Since then, I bought three copies, one for myself and the others for my sisters. Your book has been invaluable to all of us and I want to thank you for writing Reach for the Rainbow." M.F., California

"I am writing to tell you how much Reach for the Rainbow has changed my life. I am only beginning to remember some of the incidents from my childhood - being raped at ten and much family violence....Thank you for the help you have given me. I now know I have the opportunity to enjoy life and be happy." L.M., Florida

"Reach for the Rainbow remains my favorite healing tool after a dozen years of reading along the healing trail." J.L., New Jersey 2006
